Kol-ektor
Like every collector, I was struggling with the abundance of junk wax cards that were starting to clutter up my office/studio, so I wanted to try and repurpose them into their own unique pieces. The process involved deconstructing and repurposing every element of the original cards, images, text, and packaging, into entirely new abstract compositions. Guided by an affinity for symmetry and playful humor, each piece is hand-cut and numbered, featuring a custom back design that nods to old tobacco cards.
